Anyone into Aircraft on here?

My wife took these in 2005 whilst on detachment to the Falklands, she was on 1435 Flight which is the resident Tornado F3 flight.

Her boss as a thank you for all her hard work arranged a backseater in an F3 and these are just a few of the pics she took.

Me too...Sonia did arrange for me to fly with 1312 Flight in a VC10 Tanker to support the F3's on a mission, the day was nice and bright, so we walked off across the apron, the wind was quite gusty, strapped in, chocks removed and the jet spooled up, but a message  from Air Traffic reported that the winds were now gusting outside the safe operating zone for the VC10, so the trip was cancelled, was gutted as I was flying home the next day...

Here she is.

And this was less than 12 months later.... :ashamed: barstewardss...

And she is amongst these in my early days in the RAF at Abingdon

:signLOL:  Without being picky it's a T10...lol... :innocent: But hey yeah, I was green when Sonia told me, she said the boss took the jet out to sea and opened it up to over Mach 1.....

Shame the RAF is withdrawing them later this year and early next, only 12 Tornado's will remain in service until the Typhoon's are handed over.
Cheers,

Wayne
