5k0 035 730 pairing problem
« on: May 12, 2012, 06:50:20 pm »
Hi,

I fitted a 5K0 035 730 to my car earlier today. My phone page now works in the RNS510, I have added module 77 to the CAN gateway, and can change the coding of the blueotooth unit in VCDS fine.

The problem I have is that although I can see the bluetooth module with phones (iPhone 4 / HTC desire / galaxy s) I can not get any of them to pair with the bluetooth unit.

Any suggestions most appreciated.

Do you have high line screen to get the pairing code with it being premium you might also need to change the phone to work with rsap.

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.

It's a white MFA only device. From what I've read it should be possible to pair without the white display, but perhaps not! Booger!

I have one of the red screen premium and you can only get the pair code off the highline, might be different with the white screen.

VCDS reports the code is 0000, but alas this doesn't work.

At the current rate I'll just sell the unit on, as thus far internet searching has revealed no answers. Shame.

UPDATE - Having tried numerous times at the weekend to delete all previously paired phones, VCDS finally did as requested. With this done my phone immediately paired and works perfectly with the RNS. I can only assume a VCDS glitch.

I've just replaced my 5N0 module with the 5K0.
I read somewhere that you have to initiate the pairing from the phone within 3 mins of turning on the ignition, but once paired and connected, the phone will connect automaticallywhen the ignition is next turned on.

However, my telephone and star buttons are now not working.
I guess this is a coding issue....
