Cleaning up a brake disc....
« on: May 16, 2012, 02:16:13 pm »
.
Hi guys,

I've got my OEM discs out of storage in my batcave (garage) where they have been since 2006 and find that part of the bubble-wrap bag has stuck itself to one side (inside surface when isntalled) of the disc.

Can anyone advise how I can remove the plastic without damaging the disc surface please?

Many Thanks  :drinking:

Just scrape it off with a razor blade or similar then sand it smooth with some wet or dry used dry.

Unfortunately not coming off too easily  :sad1:

Any plastic eating liquids I could use? Cellulose thinners aren't shifting it.
