Edition 30 Clutch's are they different?
« on: May 16, 2012, 07:49:48 pm »
Hi All,

Did consider a sachs upgrade but going with a standard LUK clutch as originally fitted.

Looking at ebay item 230709688995 , says suitable for BYD engine 05-07. Can anyone confirm this is the correct part or will my 2008 edition 30 require a different kit?

Thanks

It says it's for a BYD engine so should be fine. Personally I don't think I could bare the hassle/heartache of fitting a standard clutch just for it to start slipping again.

Cheeers,

The OE clutch is fine unless killed by a map  .

Took the map off 10k ago when started slipping, only had 5k before issues. Clutch is now shot so needs replacing.

TBH happy with the standard performance so going down the no map and standard clutch route. No doubt the sachs performance clutch is better but £££ and im worried about the Mrs complaining!

Finding it very difficult to get the LUK Repset part number, anyone have it and I will email the seller to confirm. Dont want the box off to find I have the incorrect one.

Ahh that makes sense now. Yeah the Sachs clutch certainly turns it into a mans car  :signLOL:
