5K0 035 730 D bluetooth

Hi guys, won a 5K0 035 730 retrofit kit on ebay last week and am waiting for it to arrive.

My car is a ed30 with high line, mfsw, rns510 version H.

I have read conflicting info on this BT kit, some say it will work, some say it won't, some say it will but I won't be able to pair my phone?

Now I understand it won't display on my red mfd and tbh I'm not to bothered but will it work on the rns?

IIRC the 5K0 is the same or newer version of my 7P6 kit. Basically it will work via the RNS but there will be nothing displayed in the highline

Thanks mate, how do you pair your phone? All the BT kits I have played with need to pair the phone innthe mfd

Good question, i can't remember exactly as only done it twice but I believe you put it to phone on the RNS and then on my Iphone I went to the bluetooth options and paired it

To pair switch on ignition and search for devices on your phone.
Initiate pairing from the phone within 3 mins of turning on ignition.
After that it should connect automatically.
The phone will then show up on runs / rcd.

Well unit arrived today and has just been installed as above it works fine no display on red mfd but works great on rns510

One question I have is it possible to get itnto display track info over BT audio from a iPhone 4s?
