I have a dolce gusto. It uses the caps, and is brilliant, very quick and great coffee - you can make it as weak or strong as you like

Now bear with me..........

If its a good Latte your after this is my process and it's stronger/tastier than anything I can get from Costa/Starbucks!

Mug of milk in the microwave for 2mins 30secs. Add one sachet of Starbucks VIA Italian Blend 'Bold'. Now that in itself is a good strong Latte, I then like to add some syrup, my favourite being Hazelnut!  :happy2:

^^^^ could not agree more. Just bought the Nespresso Pixie to replace my old worn out one and a separate Nespresso Aeroccino (milk frother) from Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nespresso-Aeroccinno-Magimix-Electric-Aluminium/dp/B004P8IPU0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1337460235&sr=8-2

Worth every penny, only minus point is that you have to buy the pods from Nespresso online (or via app) and there not exactly cheap BUT god the coffee tastes incredible.

Am a Chef, quick tip for that Continental Coffee taste (can't beat it) is use UHT milk in your Aeroccino!!

Ed,  just get an Aluminium coffee pot as below:

http://www.marksandspencer.com/Marks-and-Spencer-Bialetti-Aluminium/dp/B002CUEIBS?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_3&nodeId=1497422031&sr=1-3&qid=1337462148&pf_rd_r=1D94AMS4XX0MCNFAB6BW&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=1497422031&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3

Thats a large one but there's lots of sizes in other shops.  Add hot milk (whizzed up if you like).   Done  :happy2:

Bialetti stove top aluminium espresso maker are all that's needed  :happy2:

For latte and cappuccino I'd agree with Nath. Warm your milk in the microwave and add to the fresh coffee.

Use some medium strength lavazza or illy ground coffee

I have this ... had it since Xmas and love it !  It has had very heavy use .... I can thoroughly recommend it.  It is far more solid and well made than many.  Nothing lightweight involved ... unlike many we looked at.

Gaggia Espresso Cubika Plus RI8151/60 Coffee Machine :  Amazon have it cheaper than I bought it .... I got it for £120 when most places had it for £150.  RRP is £190.

Yeh, they really are all that's needed. My Mrs is Italian, and that's all her family use.

As Monte said, don't forget good quality coffee, lavazza and illy are perfect recommendations.  :drinking:
