My mum  n dad liked the campsite "Polmanter Touring park" in Halsetown overlooking St. Ives, they went there many times (about 7 consecutive years) before they bought a house down there, before they found that site they stayed at a CC site "Godrevy" in Hayle, in fact I am moving down there myself in August/September (Carbis Bay) as parents have talked me into re-locating our family business down there  :happy2:, said I would give it a couple of years, see if I like it.

You can walk from the campsite down hill into St. Ives in about 10-15 minutes  :happy2:

I stayed there myself a couple of times when I was visiting for my parents birthdays, It has a swimming Pool and laundry room and lots of newly built shower/toilet blocks.

Places to visit:

Coverack
Lizard and the lighthouse
Porthleven for the Harbour Arms and fish and chip shop.
Cape Cornwall for the climb up to the tower on the point.
Sennon Cove

Just some of our favourites, also don't forget to try Roskillys Ice Cream

Beer wise, Rock Brewery's Doom Bar, Skinners Betty Stoggs and St Austell's Prpoer Job or Tribute.  :happy2:
Cheers,

Wayne

Yup, I can second the pastie's from Hayle, mum made me stop on my way down to St.Ives to pick up pasties, best one I ever had.

My parents said Eden project was good (if you like gardening stuff, which she does ) but not really my thing, Newquay best avoided unless your looking to get hammered and have a fight with some chavs

Any foodstuffs in St.Ives is fair game for those sneaky gulls and they are massive too  :surprised:

Minack theatre was cool (on a nice day/night), St. Michaels mount, Kynance cove etc

My Mum's house... I'll tell her to put the kettle on.

Eden thing a few miles from there.

Lands End may be worth a look too, just to say you've been to the end of the World.

Actually The Lizard is the most Southerly point in the UK, so you may wanna look see that too.

If your in Mevagissey, have a look for Cloud Cuckoo Land. Possibly the strangest collectors/antique shop you'll ever visit.  :rolleye: :rolleye: :rolleye:
