Hi. Just picked her up.

Hi guys and gals. Just thought i'd pop my head in and say hello. Saying goodbye to my beloved RS6 was difficult to leave but i'm very excited about my new baby. An 05  5dr GTI in Reflex silver with 32k on the clock, mint cond with no mods at all, but that will change. I apologise now for all the stupid questions that WILL come your way so bear with me. Pics will come soon but she needs a little machine polish to get her to my standard so watch this space. Anyway speak soon. Sean :drinking:

She's pretty low on the spec side not even to sure what was standard and what wasn't to be honest but first things that have caught my eye to be done are. Xenons, armrest,  colour code front splitter, side skirts, rear valance and then could do with a 510head unit, 18" monza's (17's now) and thats all in the first hour of looking for things to do. One good thing is that compared to the 6 modding is relatively cheap :laugh: I will get pics up of my new one asap. Thanks. Oh thanks was trying to do that but gave up/ didn't know. Granted the limit is 40 but France is only an hour away which on said trip we got 175mph out of her :driver: but fuel costs are getting crazy so she had to go. Should have done the golf by the weekend so I'll get some pics up. On the of chance anyone know how to look up the mk5 on vagcat as can't find it?

A chié le lit !! 175 mph in France? I thought the French road cops were pretty draconian and not worth getting caught. I guess it's like anywhere - You just have to recognise the safest conditions and pick your moments. I know of a Sportec fully modded RS6 Avant which clocked 190 on a UK M-way and got under the radar - Best to keep that kind of speed to the German autobahns methinks.

All road cops are bad news just depends if you get caught! I knew the stretch pretty well so nothing in sight at all. The Mrs had a surprise when she woke up though :laugh:
