Had my car on the rollers yesterday...
« on: May 20, 2012, 04:58:24 pm »
After doing a couple of mods and my mate doing the first bit of my mapping i decided to go to a Ford organised rolling road day yesterday at Awesome. Was quite happy with the results even if i am a bit dubious as Awesomes' rollers are known to read a little off sometimes...

Basic power spec is...

ITG.
BCS turbo back exhaust with de cat.
Autotech internals.

It made 320bhp and 320lb/ft.

My friend Rick who runs Unicorn Motor Development origionally threw me together a quick map after i had fitted the exhaust and filter and before the pump, was just something to keep me happy until he wrote me a DSG map to defeat the torque limiters and i fitted my fuel pump.

The boost has been raised to 1.2 bar and the lambda set to 0.85 to give me some more fuel and i have to say its immense, pulls really well on the road and even if the dyno was off i still think its a genuine 300bhp!

How does this compare to other stage 1/stage 2 cars with an exhaust and filter? What type of boost does a stage 2 APR/Revo etc car run? We are curious to know how it differs to our map so far.

I couldnt reccomend Rick @ Unicorn enough to people who are wanting to get a PROPER custom map done on their car, he maps tje car exactly to how you want and he genuinely knows his stuff when it comes to remapping cars! He will also be offering a DSG remapping service over the next week or so.

Anyway, heres the graph, we will be mapping it again over the next couple of weeks for 1.5+ bar of boost and lots more timing, i cant wait.  :happy2:

Yeah DSG pops sound proper good, I've had alot of people say how good the exhaust sounds, it's a credit to BCS!

He's based in Stockport, Manchester. For a custom map for your TFSI's will be £350-£400...
