Bird Poo..
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:11:46 am »
Morning all,

I've recently been away for a few days and returned to find a dollop of seagull mess down the side of my car. Typical. Anyway, it's affected the paint work..bloody toxic waste. Is there anything I can do to fix or is it a job for a professional?

Depends on the damage. May polish it. May need a respray.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Nothing wrong with t-cut if used correctly.

I came back to my car yesterday to find a similar story.

I've learned from bitter experience to get it off asap, but it took two buckets of very warm water and a lot of patience to soak off the stubborn substrata (I'm not showing off, just proving I'm sober)

What do those birds eat??

........i did when i found it on mine & always do. Car is covered in AG HD wax but this one time it still left a mark after washing it off. Good going over with the scratch x & then a re-cover of the HW wax & good as new. :happy2:
