Control Module and Slip ring

ive tried looking but i cnt seem to find a guide to remove these

ive had the wheel and everything else off but cnt get these parts off so i can fit my cruise control stalk

any help is much appreciated

Sorry to be vague, but you need to slip a flat knife or something similar down the side of it.

Again, sorry i cant tell you exactly where, but its better than nothing i guess?

There are 2 catches to release to get the SW cont off.  I cant explain without pics, but will try to talk you through it,

Reply #8 by VRStu, he describes the rear catch, the secret hole they talk of is to the right of the front screw, in fact right and down, stick a very thin screwdriver about 1.5" in and give it a wiggle and this should release the front catch, and the cont should drop away.

Yep that's the badboy that catches most people out.  There is also a very small Torx screw on the top right but I'm afraid I can't remember the size.

The second 'hidden' clip can be released by feeling from the back of the controller near the plug with your middle finger and you can push it to release it.

Cheers Ung, just the job, I have ring slip just took over maintenance and repair for a client and I am finding things I have never done before still a challenge gets you out of the humdrum
