After seeing widgets car in the flesh. The Silver 18's look better then the black Alloys, I normally like the black combo but in this case. Silver ones look better IMO   :indifferent:

Nowt liking pissing on someone's chips. It's all matter of opinion Steve, and believe it or not I've seen both and prefer the Glendales.

Looks great!!     Love the wheels as well.

It will be interesting to see how soon this side of the forum starts to empty out and the Mk6 side takes over!  I know I'm starting to have a sly look at the Mk6 cars...

Is there something wrong with giving ones own personal opinion? Or is this been put up for only speak if you like it all of a sudden type of forum... :indifferent:

I feel I can comment after actually seeing one in the flesh and not brochure 'fid..

It's just a pointless comment that isn't really in keeping with the topic of the thread. The guys excited about his new car, and you bluntly tell him the alloys don't look that great.

No I said, IMO the silver alloys look better on the carbon grey. there's no harm is saying what I feel, and as many would say, this would be a very boring forum if we all liked the same in life.

Oli would express his opinion if he didn't like a choice if I was planning a purchase. That really doesn't bother me.

I am a huge fan of gloss black, you should know that, but the glendales really do look a cheaper version of the RS3 alloys which look so much nicer in the flesh.
Like it or lump it andrew

There you go then Oli, congrats on the car, but commiserations on the choice of wheels.

It would be great if a thread about the Edition 35 didn't degenerate into a load of bore about the damned wheels.

^^^^

Says the man who started all these replays.... :congrats:

Andrew, you should learn not to bite so hard...

Ignore me like anyone else does so successfully

Oli, I know you'll love this, after dribbling over widgets car who's is the same (almost) you've made a great choice mate.
Sorry if I disagree with the alloys, but everyone likes different styles/ choices.
I always say it like it is, as you know me and Andrew doesn't  :P
