If you had cancer, would you

a) go to the hospital, see a cancer specialist and then go in for treatment immediately with that specialist OR

b) go to a walk-in-centre, see a general nurse who said "well it might be this but I'm not sure" and then go home, keep ringing NHS direct who are in the know but can't actually see your body, so they tell you to go to a cancer specialist at the hospital, and then keep ignoring them and ringing NHS direct hoping for a different answer?

The people who are telling you to go to a VAG specialist with acknowledged TFSI know-how are trying to help you.

You stopped to consider you might have two problems not one.

There nothing to say the Turbo hasn't gone as well.

What's the numbers on the compression tests, when running the compression may still be down on one. Seen cracked pistons cause high oil usage on aero engines.

Have you checked in the intercooler inlet pipe for oil

Turbo seals gone allowing oil through the boost system into the cylinders then out the exhaust.

This causes white smoke, oil on the plugs and missfires.

The intercooler is probably filled with oil.

That was my thoughts especially if turbo was overboosting with incorrect map, it's probably a blown turbo feeding the engine with oil. The BWA is well able to handle the KO4. Mine has now 120k, KO4 fitted at 50k. No problems wahtsoever.
