Rear passenger door trim removal...
« on: May 28, 2012, 12:59:40 pm »
Hi,

Had my girlfriends niece in the car the other day so had one of those sunblinds with the rubber suckers on the window.  Went to put down the front passenger window without looking only to put down the rear window with the blind still on it!  So the door swallowed one of the suckers!

Just wonderind what like a job it is to remove the trim to retreive it???

Thanks

To get to the glass you have to remove the outside skin of the door.  Here is a guide for the front door but would be pretty much the same for the rear.

If the link above does not do it, try this one. It's for removal of a rear door card on a mk5 golf.

Just to let you know you can't get to the window by taking the inner door card off. It's the outer skin that has to come off  :happy2:

I made this mistake when trying to change a door lock module. Got the interior card off and couldn't get at anything in the door. All you'll have is the speaker and the back of the electric window motor.
