Anyone make the connection that the horseshoe shaped spaceship they find is the same one that they come across in the original Alien?

Should be a great movie. :happy2:

Yup saw that, being a a prequel I suspect it will answer a lot of questions from the original film, what with all the adverts they are running (different clips) I feel I have seen half the film already , still not stopped me from pre-booking for opening night on friday 1st, my brother, 2 best mates and myself raring to go!

I also can't wait for this film. However it's not a prequel to alien. The script was changed. Still going to be a great film, I'm trying to avoid all the trailers as they give too much away

Really can't warm to Sacha Baron Cohen's films, find them just too cringe worthy! ETTO I suppose.

yeah i'll go and see this one as i'm a massive fan of Alien and really like Aliens too however Aliens is not quite up to the standard of Alien but is good for when you are in a Space Marines kicking butt then having their butts kicked mood  :fighting:

As mentioned this isn't a prequel to Alien, there's no real telling of how it will join up with Alien, if at all. It may or may not have the Alien creature in it but even if it does it could end up unrelated to the Alien story for starters they are on LV223 not LV426 as in Alien and Aliens.

I've watched a few trailers and they do seem spoiler-tastic although i still don't have a scooby how it all comes together. I see that as a slight advantage as rather than sitting there thinking what the hell did i just see i'll be able to concentrate more on how it all connects   .... i think!

Read this interview with Ridley Scott in Rolling Stone magazine. Explains a little about the "Alien" films connection with Prometheus. Interview was from today, 23rd May.

My other half took me to see this tonight. Pretty cool film methinks, I rather liked it.

She's more of that genre fan than me, bought her the Alien Blu Ray boxset for last Chrimbo, (it was on offer..) but I quite liked the film tonight.

Gotta say Theron looks rather tasty in her tailored outfits...and her doing press ups at the beginning in her 'stasis' outfit of some bandages was lovely.

I'd say it was a prequel..sort of.

Saw it on Saturday. Despite Alien being released 7 years before I was born it's one of my all time favourite films.

Prometheus was a great film. I enjoyed it. Loved the little links to the Alien films. I'd say it's not quite as good as Alien or Aliens but better than 3 and Resurrection and that AvP nonsense.

I agree, it's a sort of prequel to Alien.

Deffo a prequel, went and saw it in IMAX 3D on friday night, was a good film and those who watched it also notice they left a door open at the end for another avenue?
