air con taking ages to give cold air
« on: May 24, 2012, 05:56:22 pm »
Drive the car last night for the first time in a week and it was baking so i put the aircon on (i normally run around with 'econ' pressed) and it took a good 10 mins before I got any really cold air.

The system was gassed about 9 months ago now and normally takes a couple of minutes to kick in but this was by far the longest.

The fact it did eventually get nice and cold though suggests its not that its out of gas as otherwise it would have never got cold??

Take a look under the hood at the air con pipes. You should see an section where you can see the fluid. Check for bubbles, as you might have a leak.
