Revo Stage 2 Issue
« on: May 26, 2012, 04:28:19 pm »
Going to take it to probably JKM to sort this but would appreciate peoples opinions(especially of tuners lurking about :) ;

First BHP/AFR graph with a standard car with Revo Stage 1 software B7T5F9.

First BHP/Torque graph as above;

Todays BHP/AFR Graph with ITG Panel Filter, Pipewerx 3"DP with 200CELL cat to standard Cat-back and Revo Stage2 B7T5F9;

Todays BHP/Torque graph;

General consesus was that this is either a restricitive induction side, restrictive exhaust side, or the pump not meeting the 130bar requested and pulling it all back so not achieving max power.... or a combination of all 3... Would like to rulle out the temperature but of course may have had an slight affect
...

Any comments appr5eciated?

Dom...

I would not worry too much about the map.  I think the heat may be playing a huge part.  Maps tend to me optimised around 30deg air intake temps as the air temp gets higher the ecu applys a correction factor to the map wich can reduce the power, same with the timing the hotter air is going to induce timing corrections which if pulling -5CF+ your going to lose upwards of 12bhp+

I see tuned  ED30 lose/gain 25-30bhp at different times of year,

What fuel was you running in the car?

Combination of all 3. Running a Revo code of stage 2 software, with a stock fuel pump won't give you better numbers.

stage 1 or start saving some shillings bud. Fuel pump 1st if your sticking with your code. Up to you  :happy2: Mandy's car had the same issue as yours.Apr pump later and hers is now spot on

Remember the high temps were the same for everyone today, some more powerfull cars run expected power, with Redrobin like you not getting as high as was expecting.

Yeah but Mandy was also getting 313bhp without the APR fitted... but was with ITG and Cat back over what mine has...

It was just a bit bumming getting less than what I did on Stage 1! And even Chris'(Thors') car felt stronger on his stage 1 with the ITG when he took me out...

Gonna collect some parts and get JKM or another reputable tuner to sort... I think there's more afoot than air-temp... it's weird though I am making the same amount of torque, though got clutch slip on stage 2 before the Sachs was fitted...

From memory she only got to 313 after the pump.She always had full milltek, stage 2, Twintake or evoms.. And wasn't making over 300 till the pump went on. 290's but no much more, on cooler days as well

Funnily enough I've already been speaking with Mandy...

Yes, mine was 313bhp with Evoms and standard pump.

Spoke to her as she had similar Revo issues from memory...

Oh well at least it's giving me the boost(no pun intended) to go the next step...

The way forward is to get the car logged and make sure the hardware can provide what the software is asking for.

Steve, I haven't dyno'd my car since fitting the APR pump. It made 318hp immediately after fitting the EVOMS and 313hp 5 days after that.

If you've not got a VCDS cable I'm near Wimborne and work near Wareham if you wanna have a crack at logging the car for a baseline.

Thank you for the kind offer, but I know have a APR pump, and as soon as JKM have stock of the EVOMS kit, it will be going there for a new cam follower, PUMP and Intake fitted and REVO set up properly to suit...

Thanks anyway bud!  :happy2:
