Revo remap question
« on: May 26, 2012, 08:55:05 pm »
Hi,

I've just been looking at the Revo website and they're claiming to get 260 hp from a standard car.

As I'm thinking of going to see Revo because they are local to me, has anyone had a revo stage 1 map done to a totally standard car with these results?

Thanks

You won't get 260bhp from a stage 1 remap from anyone on a std gti. 230 to 240bhp is more realistic. Mine made 251bhp with a stage 1 shark remap and an Evoms intake.

That more what I though.  How can you get an extra 60 hp with no mods??  So, with a more realistic 30 - 40 hp increase, is it worth what revo charge and worth doing at all?

Heres a good example of what can be done with a healthy standard engine, good fuel, good software with plenty of time spent making a good map:

But it does depend on the car, tuned 2 mk5 gti's last week and they made 238hp/242hp both with 265ftlb.

(none of the above on Revo software, just an example of what is possible in general)
