Tried to unlock my car this morning only to find the front passenger door won't open, did'nt help with the wife trying to open the door as well!I've done a quick google search and it seem's it's quite a common problem, you can hear the central locking opening then closing the door(2 click's)I managed to get it open by pressing the unlock/lock button on the inside like 50 time's and pulling the inside handle and it opened only to lock it's self the very next time I tried it,is it a dealer/vag specialist job or is there something that can be done? :ashamed:

I had same issue on my MKV, I did spray some WD40 on lock, and it seems to fix it. Remove little rubber cover with lock picture located on the side of door, and spray WD40. 2 month now had no issues so far.

Thank's for the reply mate, tried that already,it worked for a few hour's and then did the same thing again, look's like it's off to the dealer's then as taking the door skin off to get access to the lock is a pain. :surprised:

@ Matto,

Did you replace the module or the wiring and did the module require coding?

Holepunch...the module I speak of is only the lock module. It just houses the door latching and locking mechanism. It's not the door control module for things like the electric windows etc.
