Rust on wheel hubs
« on: May 29, 2012, 11:35:20 pm »
I have been putting my car through a " deep clean " today as i took the afternoon off work. :happy2:

I noticed that the hubs are covered with rust, whats the best way of restoring this back to silver i would prefer an OEM look so no fancy colours lol.

Any advice as always greatly appreciated.

Best way I'd say would be to take the wheels off and use some wet n dry paper starting with the rougher stuff then a higher grit to buff it up. Then find a rattle can that best matches and respray them up if needs be. It may be that the rust is only a thin layer of oxidation and they come up alright with a bit of elbow grease
