Painting Brake Calipers

Just checking, is it a simple case of using a wire brush and a can of brake cleaner - then paint?


and should I go with paint and brush? or spray can?

Any brands ppl would advise using?

Foliatec seems like a decent kit. 2 stage - paint & hardener, brush applied. Plenty of colours, including PINK...

You could spray with a different product, but in the time taken to mask up each disc etc. you'd probably have them painted.

With any paint job, preparation preparation preparation. Get them degreased and free of all lose debris, rust.

I've got the blue etech kit, came with the paint, a brush and some caliper cleaner.  Going to give mine a go tomorrow if the weather allows.

I've always used hammerite and its never faded or been affected by heat

How tough is this paint to handling when fully dried as I've got to remove my front calipers and wondered if it'll be better/easier to paint them when off the car or not.

The guys at the garage I dropped the car off said if I provided the paint they'll to my calipers while the alloys are getting done. Went to halfrauds yesterday and got a couple tins of Hammerite so hoping they do the bizz nizz!
