I am sure fog lights are the dealer accessories price list as something they ca retrofit but don't know of anyone that has had them fitted TBH.

....Which "special edition" is that? All the GTI and Edition 30 and Pirelli Mk5 Golfs have fogs.

I replaced mine for LED DRL's.

I have a friend of the family with a 55 plate 2.0Tdi 4-Motion who would like to retro fit fog-lights into the front bumper. He's been quoted £300 to get this done at Volkswagen.

Can I do it for him cheaper? If so, what do I need exactly besides the fogs & grilles?

I have done it for this guy

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,35163.0.html

he bought the loom, lights and I fitted them

depending on what CECM you have, you may need to replace that too.

a new light switch and a wire needs to be fitted

Was it a 1.9TDi SE? But surely any speical edition would come with a better cluster than just mileage? :fighting2:
