Peskarik:
Hello, people!
This is my first post here, and it is not a happy one.

As some of you may know I have my E30 remapped by Oettinger to 305hp/410Nm. It is just the map, no mechanical mods.

Two weeks ago I crashed into a van, and my front was destroyed, and radiator leaked out. A VW service station fixed everything, replacing the bumper, the hood, some parts from the radiator, and whatelse.
After that I tested the car, and obviously the map was deleted.
I went to Oettinger yesterday, and they did a remap again, the boss showed me an automatic email that they get when remap is done, and it read OK. I also asked them to put a sport filter in the original air box, which they have done (it is a non-oiled filter).
The problem is, the car does not feel 305hp strong. It does not have the airliner acceleration from 3000rpm that I felt before the crash. It feels like a 230hp car, despite the OK readout of the map burn.

I asked the boss of Oettinger shop, who did the remap, what should I do.
He told me to go to a VW service and ask them what the problem is. Specifically, he wrote the following:

"...they should check charge and the memory read error.
Perhaps this is also a boost pressure hose not properly mounted. There can be several causes."

So I wonder what I should do now?
Any suggestions what the problem could be?
I mean, if pressure hose is wrongly mounted, should not I be losing pressure even on 230hp car?
Can they measure charge without rolling road? What is memory read error?

I am concerned, don't know what to do. I have enough problems with interior rattling like unoiled cart, and now this...

THanks guys/girls in advance for help!

Greeners:
A decent rolling road technician should be able to identify leaks etc. When Robin had issues recently a VW Specialist did this for him with help from the RR. Surley Ottinger should be able to offer you this service?

That is what I thought also, that paying over 1000 quid for remap and coming for that remap 140km one way would provide me with some more customer service. They'd be happy to install suspension and whatever (since they make money), but for that problem they send me to VW service. ..

SOme other tuners I asked for prices for things did not even reply to my mails! I guess unless you own a Porsche and are prepared to spend thousands you are not important enough to have your emails answered.

Exactly as Greenouse says - You need a technician who knows what he/she's doing (oettinger tech would be perfect!) to data log how your car is behaving. Btw, I also had help on my problem with advice from Revo HQ.

Being down on power sounds very likely to be due to a very small boost leak of some sort. It could be the result of your accident and anything from a very small crack in the manifold&turbo unit to a hose connection or pinhole. If it was a bigger loss of power the cause would probably be much more obvious.

I'm currently in the middle writing a more concise topic about the problem I had.

If they removed the radiator from the car then they would have had to disconnect the IC hoses.

My guess is the IC hose clamps have not been properly retightened leading to a boost leak.
