Windscreen pillar trim
« on: June 03, 2012, 10:24:38 pm »
I'm thinking of installing the mic for my hands-free kit at the top of the windscreen pillar. Is there any problem in removing the trim and running the cable up behind it, bearing in mind the fact that it covers the airbag?

None and all............ :happy2:

The little plastic piece - that has airbag wrote on it, pop this off and you will find a screw. Unscrew this and the cover will simply pop off (has 3 clips behind it)

The airbag is NOT connnected to the trim cover.

When i fitted a parrot kit on a polo 9n I managed to push the wire into the trim without actually taking it off. That might be worth a shot!  :happy2:
