Vehicles categorised as A, B or C require a VIC test before the DVLA will issue a new registration document. This will then be noted on the V5C.

And it does say in the ad that this has been done.But this confuses me as if it passes a test then it can be registered and driven?
I would investigate more as to the reason behind the cat B classification.

*EDIT* Having just rerread the listing,it says "Damage/repaired cat B inspected" So,does this mean it's cat D and inspected to a Cat B standard?
cos as rich says,Cat B shouldn't legally be on the road,repaired or not.Needs more and clearer info in the blurb!!

Both Cat A and B legally cannot be on the road. Cat A has to be scrapped.

And it does say in the ad that this has been done.

i think i saw this car before it was repaired was in a right state didnt know it was a cat B all panels were damaged i wouldnt even go near it  plus £10k its not worth that by far

a front end conversion on an 8P will set you back £4k after painting/fitting - and that's unlikely to include the extensive rewiring needed.

that means he's valued the original car at £6k (ignoring the performance mods) - can you imagine the state an S3 would have to be in to only be worth £6k?

Conversion? Prob more like a new front end as the original was probably splatted into something hard n unforgiving! Hence cat B
