If you have a RNS510.....MDI and Bluetooth

What order do you wire them up?

Car harness >> into MDI >> MDI into bluetooth?

well...
I spliced in the appropriate CAN wires for the MDI into the bluetooth loom and plugged in the telephone plug to the telephone extension on the bluetooth loom and the cd changer plug next to it...only one 'extension' needed then...

any chance you could post pics?

i'm 99.99% certain that the MDI has its own pins (on the two lower blocks which are removable) and the same with the bluetooth along with a few which are unique to each one - the other common ones are the CANbus

the easiest one to combine would be the MDI one into the bluetooth one, in order to tap into the CAN bus, i'd recommend removing the pins from the quadlock and soldering directly onto there as thats what i did - way cleaner and simpler i thought and less bulky than having two of those extensions floating around the back!

^^^ I agree, otherwise you might get issues with space as well with multi piggy backed quad lock connectors.

I've got BT and MDI and the RNS with the "plug and play" leads and Eddie struggled to get them all in behind the RNS. Done it in the end but it's bloody tight behind there
