changing worn interior trim?
« on: June 03, 2012, 07:26:14 pm »
Hi everyone, Finally picked up my GT TDI yesterday and love it. It's an 05 plate 140 5 door with 106000 on the clock. Bought it of my sister who's had it from new and I must say it drives just like it did when I 1st drove it 7 years ago.

So all in all I'm really pleased with it. A few things to tidy up over the coming months. The main one being interior trim. So my question is how easy to change the following?

Interior door pulls around window switches? Seems to be a common area of wear on vag vehicles.

Lugs for rear parcel shelf chords? or is it a complete trim panel?

Radio surround and air vent surrounds. Maybe 3m carbon wrap or are there alternatives?

Sure there will be loads more questions as I work may way through the car.

Many Thanks

Ben.

I've changed both my interior door handles, quite easy to do.  I got them from eBay.

Haven't changed the other parts you mentioned although I have seen the radio surround and air vent surround on eBay. Again pretty easy to do as they are a straight swap
