Far better than being a Republic and having someone like Blair or Cameron being president  :fighting:

+1! :pomppomp:

How is it better? Born to rule or elected, no brainier to me

....Good point. Interbreeding doesn't usually result in braininess! But Harry and Edward seem intelligent enough.

[or did you mean to write "no-brainer"?]

I'm sure they are intelligent, would be difficult to not be with that education, just I would much rather a vote for a president then a monarchy.

It's events like the Jubilee, that build morale and public confidence, and coupled with the Olmpics, in my view, will finally pull this country out of recession.

I am all for public celebrations like this

Just my tuppence.

It's easy to be cynical and dismiss the events of the past few days, but I for one have surprised myself and really enjoyed it!  :drinking:

I've even felt very patriotic, not a trait I usually possess.....  :happy2:

Seeing lots of coverage of Kate has helped too!

I've met quite a few of the royal movers and shakers....

Not Liz I might add.

My lasting impression was one of bloody hard working dedicated people who use their fame not for personal advancement but for good causes and charitable do gooding.

Blair and his vast fortune amassed after his term in office makes me sick....quite the opposite of the CND waving leftys of the 70's & 80's they couldnt beat them so they joined them

I think anybody with political aspirations should be instantly banned from office

These people are very very down to earth and Bloody good fun.

Princess Royal took the pi$$ out of my landings once   :fighting:

Had to forgive her as she raised about 60k for a charity she was patron off over a lunchtime - incredible work ethic too, her policeman told me she did nearly 350 jobs that year - thats one a day on average!
