Just had call from local VW dealer saying to leave car with them on Monday to have both wings replaced , car is 06 .
I have a spot of rust on the tail gate where the badge is which I'm told they won't cover under warranty , anyone had any success on getting this done under warranty ?
Must find out Monday why this wouldn't be covered.
Just glad the wings are being sorted at least.

That's good news.

What exactly did you say regarding getting the wings covered  I can imagine myself going into my local VW garage and them fobbing me off

I asked to make an appointment to have my wings looked at with ref to the 12 year warranty.
The paint depths were measured all over including the roof and claim was submit.
Took about 3 months for reply back.

Guys I took my car in for assessment at the start of May at Blade Group Gloucester who sent off a valid warranty claim shortly afterwards for 1 wing to be replaced due to rust.

I have phoned them about 5 times since and they tell me that they are chasing VW but that the company is very busy with the emissions scandal fallout.

Has anyone else experienced a delay like this or are Blade Group messing me about?

I'm thinking the same. Tunbridge Wells motorline didn't want to know about mine. Sounds like everyone that gets the "ok" still has to fight for months.

Got mine back yesterday and have to say I'm very impressed , 1st class job and the car has never looked cleaner 😀👍
