This is what ive got on the left wing.


The right one ok for now but i think sooner or later that will be the same . Now would i be covered under the warranty ?

just rung them they said the warranty is for 3 years :( going through to some one els to see what they say

.... :rolleye: Some of these VW dealers don't know WTF they're talking about! :fighting:

This wings rust issue has nothing to do with the 3-year warranty. Furthermore, Volkswagen's bodywork warranty is longer than 3 years anyway.

That's nasty! Mine was only showing a few small bubbles when I got mine done. I'm sure you should be able to get yours done, just as long as you haven't had any previous damage or work done on that wing. Does depend on your dealer of course!

Best bet is to just pop into your local dealer and ask to speak to someone about the rust warranty. If they are like my dealer, someone from warranty will just look at it there and then for you.

Yippppppeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

My new front wing and sill repair has been approved!!

The bloke said there is now a 'TDI' out for these repairs, which means they are approved automatically by VW, provided your car is not full of filler etc. Mine was approved and it's 'had paint'.

Great news mate  :happy2:

Are you getting new wings and is it for both wings and both sills done? When I had mine done they put in for both wings and 1 sill then had to submit for the other sill as the rust wasn't visable until they stripped the car.

Picked up my car yesterday from west London vw. They kindly replaced and painted the whole wing as 100% goodwill.

Thanks to you guys on here! I was going to get my body shop to repair the wing at my cost, but the amazing information on this site pushed me to get it done under warranty!
