After leaving the car in to be inspected in August I’ve finally received notice of approval lol and it’s to be left in next Tuesday. My car is reflex silver, would the colour match of the paint be terribly noticeable?

Had mine done around 6 months ago, colour match was perfect with no blending required!

Well then fingers crossed it turns out as good a job as yours did. Mines being left in at Agnew repair centre Belfast on the boucher road if anyone else on here has any experience with them?

They did mine last year and did a great job , car was nice and clean when I got it back.
Mine is Pearlsant Black so no issues with matching , took them 4 days.

I see from the tread lots of people have had wings replaced under warranty. Has any one had either the boot-lid (rust around VW badge) or sills repaired?

I just took mine to local VW dealer and he gave the paint excuse (3yr warranty on paint), even though paint doesn't rust.

I called three dealers and VW head office. Long story short VW are not interested and have and will use every excuse under the sun to not honor the warranty (to not repair rusty boot-lid and sills). So that's that, was always a long shot anyway.

Sills have always been wriggled out of under an 'edge and fold' technicality.  Some dealers go 50/50, but the majority give you the middle finger.

Not sure about the tailgate but probably the same deal.  Wings get done FOC for most people though.

It amazes me how VW think anyone would buy another VW again after that kind of treatment + dieselgate.  No wonder they are 2.6 billion in the red

Yeah I agree. I've worked in a couple of car manufacturer sales and marketing head offices and their attitude doesn't surprise me. Dorks in suits making brand damaging decisions.

Unfortunately German car makers are extraordinarily arrogant.   Give it another 5 - 10 years and I think a lot of people will be dumping German cars.   Even the Koreans are beating the Germans in all of the key areas of car construction.   The Germans can't rely on badge engineering forever.
