Front wing rust warranty success!!

he was lucky he never got a slap how rude   

my car was agreed both wings for repair and the sills 25% contribution after getting the car back and a very bad job the car is back with the dealer getting repaired again

as if I would not notice bad workmanship

I even told them I was fussy and would be checking it vigorously

If it isn't resolved then I shall take it further.
He also said he would argue that the panels have been changed, as if I'm going to fit a rear 1/4! Paint thickness was fine and no reason for him being like it apart from they were the ones who replaced the wings!

I rang Lookers Vw on Teesside today to get my car booked in for inspection... Next appointment just for looking at the rust will not be until 20th Feb next year!!!

 I think they are now sending out an independent assessor and if my claim is successful the work will now go elsewhere!

Another thing he mentioned was that the scab on the lower drivers door was due to there being no paint on the lower egde of the door!
I said i better take a look at that then, So gets on my hands and knees on the wet ground and there is paint all the way along the door!
 Just wanted to fob us off!!.............But chose the wrong people to just fob off!

Speak to lee Richardson at benfield vw on scotswood road Newcastle upon tyne , it's not to far from Teesside , there waiting list is no where near as long as lookers ! Plus he's really helpful

Mine went into VW in Chelmsford yesterday for both wings to be sorted out under warranty. They gave me this beast as a courtesy car lol Makes a change from the Up! i had previously.

Jimmy s3 ive just waited 2/3 months to get my car inspected by lookers vw teeside, and he's just done it this morning. He's called Jason pattison and they are very busy he said just gotta wait I'm afraid or go elsewhere. He's a very friendly guy though.

He rang me back within an hour and said front passenger side wing %100 and both sills 75%. My drivers side wing is completely fine so hopefully will stay that way for aslong as I own the car.

They also sub contract there jobs out to a company in yarm think it was RMB or something like that.

juat gotta wait for the body shop to ring me now and sort a date out. £270 it will cost me I don't mind that it's a pretty big job after all.

Worth a try, especially if your car has a dealership history.

yeah it got 90% all service done in local VW. what can i tell them when calling VW? any points i need to take up?
