Front wing rust warranty success!!

Woooop my car goes in Tuesday. I waited 3 months for an apoint ment and only a week to get a my car in to start work

Mines goes in 2 weeks.

1 new wing, 1 repaired and drivers back quarter getting done too.

£104 all in due to rear quarter contribution

I'm paying £270 which is 25% towards the 2 sills.

I've got a lovely 14 plate Toyota yaris 1.3L to plod about in. Sooo much powerrrrr

Crewe VW just authorised 100% contribution on both front wings for me - even though one wing has been resprayed in the past (must have been done by VW).

Literally picked mine up from Harrogate VW this evening after having both front wings replaced under warranty. No quibbles or questions asked, totally free, free brand new polo courtesy car. I only mentioned the wings after reading on here whilst it was in for a service not expecting warranty as I have coilovers fitted and spacers running really low and they suggested the warrant route!

Picked mine up from listers Coventry yesterday. Can't praise them highly enough for the work carried out. Very professional and to a high standard. I had to pay £200 for the blending into the front doors as there was some difference in the colour but looks spot on now

Well picked up my car on Wednesday after having the front wings replaces and sprayed and I am told it's a very good colour match. However I am yet to see this as its dark in the morning on the way to work and dark when I leave work lol so will let you know this weekend how good the job is.

Had it done at VW Leicester St Margarets. Dealt with 2 guys Calvin and John and they seem great guys and the cost was 100% covered :)

Right guys took mine to vw sinclairs swansea where they put the claim in, 3 weeks later I recieve a letter from them sayin to contact them and I can recieve 50% goodwill, I was not happy about this, rang them up spoke to the manager he insisted that I could have it done free but I would have to phone vw customer services explain they have offered 50% and they will make up the other 50%, done that and now they have asked why the swansea vw only offered me 50% there opening a case and want to speak to the manager there and they will phone me back! This isn't looking good atm!

The local dealer offered 50% goodwill on the rust repair on mine. I contacted VW CS and expressed my displeasure that I was being asked to contribute 50% for a manufacturing defect. The level of payout apparently is dependent on how "loyal" a customer you are. I've asked them to escalate the case, should find out soon if they will up the offer.

I don't get that though because my car hasn't been to vw at all since I got it. It's always gone to AKS tuning so it's bad that they are saying about loyalty :/

Only one sill needs doing IMHO, VW couldn't even notice any corrosion. They did say if it gets worse (to the point that it's visible to them) they could get a 50% contribution.

Will see how I get on next year

Mines went in yesterday.

They gave me a brand new polo gt to run about in for 7 days. Cracking wee car.

should have only took 3 days but there falling behind with work. But keeps the miles off my car

Mine went into VW Shrewsbury Monday of last week for both sills (O/S front corner visable rust, N/S just had very slight corrosion starting on inner sill/door shut)
Agreed 50% with me to pay £116, whilst it was in they called to say they had found corrosion starting on front wings as well so were offering to fit new front wings free of charge, I picked up the car on the Friday and it looks fantastic, so glad to have the rust on the sill sorted out for winter
