powder coating pescaras...red robin pls post pic!
« on: June 06, 2012, 10:46:42 am »
Hi guys my wheels need a refurb, I'm undecided on what colour to have, it's a black eddie, I want to keep as oem look as possible but with a twist!  :rolleye:  red robin did put a pic up of some monzas in a nice shade, wasn't to dark if memory serves me correct, I don't want black or anything like that, any pics and ecommendations for a decent company In the midlands will be great

Don't have any pics but the only 2 colours I'd think suit it will be either oem silver or a light shade of gunmetal. Although the BBS CH's Steve P is selling would look very raw on the car

i think black with a rim protector in red would look ace but you've said it's not what you're after

what about a sort of smoked chrome colour? would look great against black

I  think black and red looks good but I'm not a lover on black on black, a smoke chrome sounds good  :drinking:

Some more pics of what A1 Wolverhampton call "Smoked Chrome" but the colour will look different on Pescaras:

As far as Monza's are concerned they still look very OEM but the shades change slightly according to the light.

I have black MK5 with Black Monza's. I know black wheels not everybody's cup of tea, but I do really love it.

Black requires a very good finish to look decent. I'm sure A1 could match the satin look of OEM Detroits, and maybe even the diamond cut rim.

I've just had my S line wheels refurbed in Anthracite. Identical to Pescaras so should give you an idea.

Love that pic Andrew!  :congrats: I almost saw one of those rain droplets run down the wheel!!

And yes A1 can replicate this finish and diamond cut the rim.  :happy2:
