I've played with it in a VM environment, and its pretty poor
Microsoft appear to only be able to create a good OS every other version
XP great
Vista poor
Windows 7 great
Windows 8 crap
I like their idea of one interface across all products but a PC can do so much more. Metro doesn't let you multi task very easily, the interface starts looking messy very quickly with different apps installed, getting rid of the start button will alienate most of their customer base
Stick with Vista or upgrade to Windows 7
