Wheel colour change pescara
« on: June 11, 2012, 08:58:17 pm »
Hey guys, I am wanting to change the colour of my wheels, I have a red ed30.

I have had a few thoughts which I realise some of these will be controversial.

I was thinking satin black (or maybe even matt)  but I realise black rims on a red car is pretty standard.

I did see a red gti with 'boron' coloured wheels on. This looked really nice, I have seen gunmetal colours too.

I was also thinking ( please don't pull me to pieces) gold. I realise most will not be too keen but I think depending on the gold would look nice.

I have seen some on a black mkVI and a white mV I will post some pics up ASAP,

Leo me know your opinions

And pics of pescaras on red Gti's

Any pics will appreciated, need to get them done ASAP. :)

This bottom one is the colour I really like, lighter gold. Love the darker one against the black on the mk6

Let me know what you think. Also if anybody knows the names of the powder coat particularly the lighter gold.

Cheers

Go with the Gold, am a BIG fan of gold wheels on red cars and have installed my view in a few prevoius posts. Not seen the BBS CH's in gold and really like them. Am keeping mine as is (Pescara's in Gun Metal) but am thinking of turning some winter wheels (TD's 2.1) Gold!!

Just ask for Gloss Gold and get it done already!!

blue you mean  :signLOL:... Might of been my car a while ago..

gloss black to suit the rest on the Black /red combo on the car already.

gold is a good shout, but no one so far has tried it.  I think it would work .

Thanks guys I really appreciate this feed back. I think I have decided on gold. Went to my local refurb place (cas coatings in Bradford) they annoyingly only had one gold to choose from (even though they do 300 colours) but it looked pretty much bang on, lightish gold. Much more like the light ones on that picture than the mk6.

It's (wait for it) 1.50 an inch in gold and that includes the small amount of refurb I have on the rim for me. I thought that was a bargain, £1 an inch for solid colours. They will also get any colour for you if you get them the RAL number.

Had some irmscher rims done there and they looked really good while I had them.

Hoping to get them done in the next week or so I'll post some photos.

Also just for your interest I lowered the back of my car today and it's sitting sweeeet can't wait to get the front done, also expecting my Milltek Thursday along with some red and gold bbs centres.

So I have some good news and some bad news. Bad news first. Got a few scuffs on my bumper fixed and the colour is off. So that's got me waiting another week for that to be redone, bad times, good news is I now have 4 of these, they fit perfectly into my pescaras. Just need to get them returned and then it will look amazing.

Let me know what you think to the caps.. :)
