I don't understand why people can just hold the cap in one hand and the fuel nozzle in the other? Does it really require you to use both hands on the nozzle or are you doing something else with your free hand?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

.
Imagine my delight in finding a hot young female V-Power attendant at a small family-run Shell station in northern Italy

I wanted to take a photo (to share with you lot of pervs) but noticed her father standing in the doorway with a watchful eye on proceedings and so I thought better of it!

Jaz, I had both hands free!

I'm in the habit of just moving the circular part around the neck of the filler tube and find that unravels it.

it falls off and hits the bodywork.

Buying petrol GTI style:

Pull up, pop fuel release.
Get out of car.
Untwist cap.
Balance cap on flap.
Remove pump and insert nozzle...fnarr.
Start filling.
At a random point during the fill listen for the distinctive wallop; bounce; scrape
Swear and hold cap in other hand for remainder of fill.
Finish fill, replace cap.
Admire fresh scratches in paintwork.
Pay for petrol and a Wispa.

made me laugh! people in the office now thinking im on something!
