Yeah traction and wear rating will be displayed on the sidewall but the info for a particular tyre is easily found on the net anyway  :happy2:

For comparison:

PS3 - 320
PSS - 300
PS2 - 220
GY F1 v2 - 300
GY F1 v1 - 240
Toyo R888 - 100
Toyo R1R - 140

Treadwear isn't directly comparable between different tyrebrands, but can be used as an indication of where a specific tyre is placed, and regarding the 300, as stated it's on the side of the tyre.

I believe you can opt-out of runflats, and the SS is what you get instead. Could be tripe, but that's what BMW have told me.

Oh, and it's the replacement for the old PS2 - but slightly stickier, so may not wear as well. Expect very hard sidewalls and outstanding dry grip.

Mine have easily outlasted the outgoing ps2! Infact I usually have new tyres every 6 months, but these have lasted a year, Ive never had tyres last me a year before :surprised:

My Goodyear F1v2 have been on since 41700 miles. Now on 54000 miles and the fronts still have a good amount of tread left, at a guess 3mm. Thats quite impressive wear rate given the hammer it gets.  :happy2:

I think I had my PS2 tyres on for around 20k and only the fronts needed replacing.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

According to tirerack the GY f1g2's have the same wear rating as the pilot supersports.

To be fair my f1g2's are great, had them on for about 10k miles so far and they're only down to about 6mm, plus super-grippy compared to the conti sc3's I had before.
