MK6 Golf Disks

Hi   does anyone know if the rotors and bells  go rusty on the MK6 .I have a Golf R on order and want to know in advance if I can expect the bells to start rusting ,I understand the Rotor face will obviously rust  .

Most manufacturer's rotors are steel and bare steel will always rust unless you paint them when you get it :happy2:

Hi Darren,

I have had it on BMW ,Mercedes, VW,    I am sure I read on here mk6 golfs had been Zinc plated to stop the rust maybe its on some replacement disks.

Sorry pal meant to PM you back the other day.

Giving myself chest pain getting sorted for inters!

They come painted on the Mk6 same part number as the S3/R32 its better than nothing but doesnt last forever maybe 12 months
