Awesome GTi, but I'm not travelling all the way to Awesome to get it looked at (I'm in London)
Do you reckon Revo would look at it on the weekend at Inters??

They're probably gonna be busy, uploading stage 1 maps with no logging to worry bout sorting issues... I reckon one of the helpful tuners on here will be along shortly to assist you...

Do u reckon I should call them prior to the weekend?

I can't see the smoke when driving, but my mate told me it smoked quite a bit when accelerating (he was standing on the side of the road watching me)

Mileage is irrelevant - stuff breaks.

Getting someone off the forum to help with logging would be a start. Could be loads of stuff... Probably something daft though. No misfires or anything odd??

No misfires whatsoever, and she's going really well.
Are you saying there shouldn't be any black smoke whatsoever under heavy acceleration??

majority will puff out some sort of black smoke, but depends what your mate deems it by how much smoke he was referring to seeing, if you can't see it as a driver then I wouldn't worry about, especially if your not feeling any performance loss.

if you've been driving gently and then open the taps for the 1st time, you will get black smoke to start off and it should clear as soon as boost is reached.

A dyno run with wideband AFR will highlight any issues, but nothing to worry about as most high power turbo petrols will smoke a little under load if set up rich.

Thanks.

Hopefully one of you guys can watch me from behind up the strip at Inters to verify th amount of smoke we're talking about  :happy2:

Mine also smokes a bit on full load, a mate of mine commented on it on the trackdays, I've noticed it on the rollers too. Its been logged to death and all is ok, so my intial thoughts would be its nothing to worry about, but I would get it logged to be on the safe side  :happy2:

ps is this what you rang about?, was in a meeting
