Re: Mark's Golf V GTI '07 ** New photos with new stuff done **

My car never really rode that high. I reckon it's only lowered 10mm to 15mm from what it was. The spacers are a necessary evil for me, because I need a few mil extra to clear the brakes.

I'm still running the 12mm spacers which I bought for the Monzas. They were an ET51 7.5Jx18 wheel and the new BBS wheels are an ET50 8Jx18. So, right now this wheel tyre combo with the 12mm spacing is, to my eyes, sticking out farther than I'd like.

I've ordered a set of H&R Trak+ 8mm spacers and 36mm taper bolts and I think that will finish it.

Just had a look through an old photo box and the only photos of my black GTI are these terrible ones. I owned this one about 14 or so years ago - it also had tartan upholstry and of course came with the BBS wheels.  I'm not sure what I was thinking choosing those wheels. I fitted Jamex suspension (dampers and springs), had a full from the manifold back Magnex exhaust, Gforce black diamond brakes (remember them?), K&N filter and a superchips ECU and Uniroyal tyres.

Oh dear.. history is repeating it's self again.

Hi,

I've no idea what power it's running. Last time it was on a rolling road it was a bog standard car with a stage 1 bluefin remap - it made 216 HP at the wheels.

As far as 0-60 - again, I've no idea.
