Rain sensor DEAD !
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:05:41 pm »
Hi guys.

I have an ED 30 three door on an 08 plate with 20,000 mls on the clock. My problem is that the rain sensor has stopped working if i put the wipers into intermittant (one click up) the blades wipe once and thats it.If i move the rocker switch over to the left 1,2,3 or 4 clicks it does nothing but when i return the rocker back one click at a time to the right the blades wipe once for each click. This has been tried over the past few weeks in heavy rain whilst driving on motorways and B roads.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this a year ago.
No faults when scanned
took the sensor out and there was a an air bubble between the gel pad and sensor.

Changed the whole Rain Sensor and it was working again
