17" Monzas - How much?
« on: June 20, 2012, 04:36:39 pm »

I'll be selling the 17" Monzas in excellent condition with 2 x Brand new Pirelli PZero Rossos on and 2 5mm Michelins.

Before I put them in the for sale section with pics, how much should I put them up for roughly?

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.

I bought a set of freshly powdercoated ones with brand new oem centre caps for £200 a few months back, no tyres.

I then sold my alright condition ones the next day for £100.

Unfortunately tyres on wheels and second hand tyres in general have little value, which is stupid but its the way it is and there also appears to be a very niche market for 17" Monzas, even though i think they are the "right" wheel to have on the Golf.

You could get some winter tyres to put on them and use them over the winter to protect your new wheels if your not gonna get that much for them

I paid 200ish for a set of wheels that had just been refurbished and had usable tyres.

I would think they will fetch more money if you take the tyres off the wheels and sell them on e-bay... then list the wheels separate. That's what i will be doing anyway...

I don't agree with having poor wheels on a car just because it's winter, especially as winter is 6 months long! Life is too short!

Looking at the replies, I think I'll be selling the wheels for 200 and the two Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres for 50 quid each. They are brand spanking new, so should fly away.  :happy2:
