Natwest banking problem
« on: June 22, 2012, 06:43:56 am »
Anyone else experiencing this??

Looked this morning and my wages haven't gone in. My mate hasn't had her child benefit and another work colleagues wages (different firm but banks with natwest) won't go in via bacs and the company is sayin it's natwests fault..

A google search reveals a meltdown of the computer system, anyone else know any specific details at all as this is probably looking like I won't be able to get to Inters with no funds

It was on the news this morning that there had been some issues with their systems and that they would be opening their branches early to help customers

Apparently if you can prove its your pay day they will give you money, rumours of people getting £300 are going round.

Found this on MSE to what they will accept liability for:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2012/06/natwest-nightmare-into-day-three

Also Natwest twitter

http://www.twitter.com/NatWest_Help

Apparently branches will be open til 7pm tonight, til 6pm tomorrow and open from 9am sunday.

If that's the case it doesn't seem like this is going to be a quick fix

Prove it's your pay day? Won't looking at your account and seeing the same amount credited at the same time every month not give them that answer!

.
It's been on the Ch5 news this evening. Sorry to tell you folks that so far no solutions have been found - But they are "working on it".

No-one has clarified exactly went wrong either.

Good job that not everyone in the country banks with just one single big national bank (or single group of banks, i.e. the same).

The point of my post was if they are opening early it would help if you contacted them! If anyone will be able to provide you with more info it would be the Bank!

I can log in and view my accounts fine?

I also paid in cash earlier today, and I've just logged in and it's there already.

I guess the real test will be Monday, to see if my pay goes in!
Hopefully they will resolve it by then!

Fingers crossed they lose track of my over drawn balance

My payday isn't until the 28th so let's hope they sort it asap :happy2:
