Help with ipod adapter compatibility ?

Can anyone advice me whether or not a genuine VW  ipod adapter,part number 000-051-444K  (as per liver's parts for sale advert on this site) will be compatable with my RCD500 head unit ?

Hi mate I believe it will, I've got the connects2 replica I bought off the Internet (a lot cheaper than OEM yet works the same and actually charges my iPhone). This is on my RCD500

I'm sure someone will confirm for definite though  :happy2:
