Fitted RNS510 - problems

Hi

I've just fitted my rns510 and I'm having a few problems

1. The CD plays really fuzzy

2. I can control the volume on the MFSW but can't chane radio station using the arrows

3. My SD card won't read now I don't know of this is because it may be too large it's 32GB

I thought I coded it propperly through vagcom but mate not :/

1. Did you do the wiring change for the CD player? I can't recall which pins to change around, but a google should point you in the right direction. This should solve the sound issues.

2. Which MFSW buttons do you have? Not sure if there is an issue on the older style buttons. I am sure somebody with more knowledge will be along shortly.
3. Which version of RNS do you have? As far as I recall, the older versions were limited for SD card size. Try using a smaller card, say 8GB and see if that works?

No I shall do that in the morning I remebered that afterward, I've seen it online somewhere before,  it's a 2008 1.9TDI bluemotion the steering wheel has 4 buttons each side and is standard leather,

I think it's a version B because the code on the top end in B but not entirely sure

Hi mate, you need the firmware disc to upgrade to a C version or higher. This will then allow you to use a SDHC card (above 2GB)
I think 2GB is the max on a B version??? Could be 4GB though  :ashamed:

I'm actually down south at the moment at my dads in Hertford, and my mums is about 30 mins from Bradford called skipton

Darren is in Leeds and I'm sure he won't mind upgrading your RNS firmware. He can also put the very latest maps on and all the points-of-interest and speed cameras.  :happy2:
