They look like A3 3.2 Quattro calipers to me. They are same as 345mm R32 calipers but without the paint.
Edit: if they come with 320mm discs they will have different carriers. A4 tfsi quattro's run the 320mm setup.

Look like MK2 TT V6 calipers to me.  Only 345mm calipers that didn't come painted.

A3 3.2?

Damn it.  Forgot the A3 3.2!

Cheers guys. I also found them on the A6 Quattro doing my research - that would explain the 321mm disks they came with

They look like R32 calipers but the way the fiexi hose connects is different to how they are on the mk5 so your need a few bits and pieces.  :happy2:

Hi Rich!

Any idea what pieces I'll need? (I know F all about brakes lol)

I'll have to get some R32 brake lines wasn't aware of any other parts  :sad1:

Cheers,

I nearly went the A4 Quattro 320mm discs but-
1. I didn't now if the carrier would fit the hub
2. 320mm is not much of an upgrade from the standard 312mm

The plus point is they can be bought very cheaply.

These should work with 345mm disks - Darksides Jetta TDI has these exact calipers with 345mm disks.

They seem to be basically the same as R32 brakes, with a few subtle cosmetic differences on the top.

But the carrier is setup for 320mm pads, you'll end up with a rusty ring round the outside won't you?

Worth giving Darksiders Developments a call to ask what other parts were needed?

Not R32's/s3's. They are Audi's as fitted to bigger engined a4's and A6's and lower spec a8's. The discs will have the wrong center bore and the calipers are the wrong offset.

You could possibly adapt but not a standard fit  :sad1:

Yeah I think that's best  :happy2:

Just compared the carriers and the photo of the back of the caliper against pics of other R32 brakes on the forum and they look the same :jumpmove:

Could really do with some dimensions to compare against  :sad1:

Any brake experts in the north west / Cheshire??

If I still had my old scrap discs, I'd have sent one up to you for a test fit.

You're definitely going down the R32 route, so could be an idea to buy your 345mm discs and test fit the setup on one side before you start painting and buying brake lines etc...

Given the uncertainty, I'd call Darkside tomorrow morning. As you've pointed out, they have definitely made these calipers and a 345mm disc fit a mk5.

Bit skint now for the time being so disks will have to wait a while  :sad1: - thatkns for the thought of sending your scrap ones up anyway Gareth  :happy2:

Hopefully will have these on by the JKM RR day  :happy2:

Wrong offset, wrong piston size on the caliper, wrong centre bore.

Ditch em mate and get some proper r32 ones, the pedal will be crap with these.

The only common part with these and the R32 setup is the outer part of the caliper, the pad spring and the pads......

Cheers :happy2:
