Can't wait to get my mounts on, I only put my oem mk5 new top mounts in 2300 miles ago so when I sell the suspension set up in 2 weeks time they'll be perfect for someone  :happy2:

I just like to replace everything

I had a irritating rattle which turned out to be the bolt that holds in inner fuse box (drivers side) in place. now the only rattle I have is the passenger side sun visor bulb housing rattles which drivers me nuts when pulling away/reversing  :fighting:

Discs or the bells ?

Jake
Jake

Yes Jake, Great Idea! I hadn't long changed my OEM top mounts, they made a difference then... But the difference now is great, again that's with a few mods done, with new Tracking/Alignment settings..  :driver:

:driver: Car is running great !  :star:

We all like to change things, its always for the better though !

My rattle, sounds more like a tapping sound, I have checked the fuse box and loads of other places, but it seems to be more from the outside, but in behind my dash at the same time... Maybe I'll take the scuttle panel off and have a look in around there...

I give the Rear bells a lick of paint, they had went a bit rusty, so cleaned up for now.

If the Rear ARB was all dried up, how would the car perform?  Being so stiff like that?
I had bouncy suspension, but it all seems good now, since it got lube'd up

If it's not broke, Mod it.....

Silver is the way !

Let us know what u think of the superpro balljoints as I'm thinking of doing it too..
[/quote]

I had already had the superpro ball joints, they got replaced... They allow for extra camber, I had to bring the camber back in as it was wearing the insides of my tyres out faster than I would have liked...

 :sad1:

But still give the extra flexibility for adjusting, to suit your needs... Or if you needed to tuck tyres in behind the arches  :pomppomp:

The SP ball joints are a great little mod

As Mike says they are a great mod !  :happy2:

Good to hear the car is feels much better handling wise mate and your happy with it

Would opyou not bother with the super pro ball joints then if your not after ' fitment ' and wanting a tighter front end? More importantly what have you replaced them with mate?

Cheers matey !  :driver:  Yes I would always want to have the SP Ball Joints now, it will allow the car to be setup that bit better, even more so if you wish to track your car...
Replaced with a new set ! Just trying to rule things out...  :innocent:

Well you kind of go in a circle, as you get the car how you would like it, then want to improve things  :rolleye:

Kinda crazy ! As you say the list never ends...

I find it really worth while, when everything is running in top condition !  The drive homes are always awesome, you never know what to expect  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Not an update, but a small problem that is needing solved  :notworthy:

ARB Bushes, I have the whiteline ARB's fitted, but they seem to dry up, do the bushes need replacing or re-greased up, it's just i have tried re-greasing them, but before long the the dreaded squeaking comes back  :fighting:

Is there a certain type of grease to use?

Some better than others?

Can the bushes be replaced with a different type of bush?

Thanks in Advance !  :happy2:

How have I not seen this car before, the ap racing brakes are amazing aren't they, on the mobile so only got that far back, I've got them with r8 4pots and brake fade is a thing of the past, do you go to any of the gti NI shows, like castewellan or will u be at cruise for cancer?
