The Chilli thread...
« on: June 25, 2012, 11:34:05 pm »
So... i know theres a few of us on here that are 'growing' at the moment. Lets see what youve got  :happy2:

Here are some of mine.

These are Cayenne Chillis... so should be hot but not stoooopid hot.

And this is where we are now... just starting to bud flowers.

Bhut Jolokia.... stupid hot

This is where they are now, they are reported to be quite slow growing (I should have them inside really)

Got some Scotch Bonnets too, but no upto date pics yet.

 :happy2:

Rich

These are Cayenne Chillis...

So they're overweight, thirsty and shift like a train?    :pomppomp:

Looks a good setup Rich. I'm always someone who likes to push their heat tolerances in balti houses but enjoy it while doing so. Bet those will pack a good punch  :happy2:

P.s. tried a friends phaal curry last Friday night at a local franchised Balti restaurant and they'd certainly given him a challenge, plenty of Jolokias in that we were told. To be avoided unless expected  :surprised:

Fancy a weekend of it.http://www.westdean.org.uk/garden/news%20and%20events/chillifiesta.aspx

We go there every year, well worth the entery fee. Try the Ghilli and Garlic ice cream. :)

Have to keep note of this thread, had some plants last year, but ended up getting rid as i had the porch full of flies.

Only have one small plant this year, flowers just starting to bud.

Anyone feed there's? Just been using tomato feed before.

I've tried to grow them a few times and failed, either getting infested with unshiftable bugs or not really giving decent yield.

Sideways yo!
