Excellent  :happy2:

I took my springs off last week (as I was swapping the car for a coupe version )

And my rear shocks were on their way out (after only 57k miles  :surprised:) so i'd highly recommend swapping your shocks when you do your springs  :happy2:

After yesterday's Revo revelation (so happy with the power now) I've decided to concentrate on the handling and stopping!

.... :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: - Such mods make a huge and positive difference to the joy of driving and also better balance a performance modded car, IMO.

Yup a 170 common rail model (same as MK6 GTD), it's fantastic for a diesel. Very responsive (nearly as response at the GTI  :surprised:) exhaust note isn't bad either, and it's achieves 40+mpg even with a heavy right foot

No plans as yet, just a good going over with Autoglym and Colinite to protect it for the winter - once I can peel the dealer sticker out of the window  :fighting:

I'll stick around on here and help out folk where I can. I think a trip to JKM is in order for the next dyno day  :happy2:

Will probably see you there. . .

Great news that you've found a way to keep the car and to start modding it again  :happy2:

Thanks Nodz, It was a case of 2 weeks in Jamaica, or keep my car for ever! Not a difficult decision to be honest. I get real joy from my car every single day, even when I don't drive it, I just go and look at it! I park it in the shared car park of my flats so it's right in front of me as I do the washing up!

....And I bet that, like me, every time you park it you turn around and give it a few admiring glances as you walk away - Just like you do when you walk past a pretty girl in the street.

Indeed I do Robin, although with my car I don't bend my knees, scrunch up my face and rub my thighs, ala Vic Reeves!
